henton lodge hanoverians
We breed quality registered Hanoverians for both top international competitors and discerning recreational riders. We select Hanoverian mares, with a small percentage of New Zealand Thoroughbred blood, breeding to both New Zealand resident registered Hanoverian stallions and world class frozen semen imported from Hanover in Germany. Our focus is on the use of top quality genetics and animal management.
We specialise in Hanoverian jumping bloodlines aimed at the eventing and show jumping disciplines but also breed a select few foals for dressage.
Henton Lodge Hanoverians, established in 1982, is run by Dave and Bridget Sutton at Pukekohe, South Auckland, New Zealand. We run 230 acres of lush, free-draining, flat to rolling, well managed pasture, dotted with hedges and natural native wood lots. It is by soil type and climate one of the best natural environments in the world to raise young horses.
